My Diary

I wanted to be driven somewhere without being asked to navigate

Dear Delyara, It wasn’t about travel. It was about not leading. I think some of my deepest fatigue now comes from being the one who keeps orienting life — literally and emotionally. Which road, which time, which form, which answer, which dinner, which order, which child first, which thing matters more right now. There are days when I can feel how tired my whole system is of being the internal map. So yes, I wanted to sit in a passenger seat, look out of the window, and have someone else know where we were going and how to get there. I didn’t get that today. I did get this sentence, and I think it explains more than I expected.
