I wanted to be known without being impressive

Dear Delyara, I think that’s what I want more than attention. Not admiration. Not performance. Not being interesting enough to keep. Just known. Quietly. Accurately. Without needing to earn it by being bright, useful, insightful, resilient, or emotionally articulate on command. That kind of being-seen feels rarer to me now than it should. And I feel the absence of it more than I say out loud.
