The SilenceLoneliness
I wanted to be read correctly without having to become dramatic
Dear Delyara, I think that’s what I was hoping for all day. Not rescue. Not attention. Not concern triggered only by tears or collapse. Just to be read correctly. Quietly. The way some people can read a room. I wanted someone to hear the slight change in my voice and understand there was more behind it. I wanted someone to notice that my tiredness wasn’t the ordinary kind. I wanted not to have to perform distress for it to be taken seriously. That kind of loneliness is difficult because it exists in plain sight.
