The SilenceLoneliness
I wanted to be understood before I had language for it
Dear Delyara, That may be an impossible wish. It still feels real. Some feelings arrive earlier than language. They are physical first, atmospheric first, more like weather than thought. And in those moments, I want someone who can sense enough of me to stay near it before I’ve translated it into proper explanation. That kind of closeness feels so rare that its absence hurts. I don’t always need someone to say the perfect thing. I need someone who does not need everything named before they can begin being gentle.
