My Diary
I wanted to leave the dishes for once
Dear Delyara, Not because I didn’t know they’d still be there. Because I wanted proof that I could. There is some part of me that still believes the dishes, the lunches, the forms, the tidying, the little last jobs all have a stronger moral claim than my own body does at night. So leaving them becomes not a practical choice but a character test. Yesterday I wanted to fail that test on purpose. I wanted to go upstairs while the dishes still existed and let the kitchen survive the insult. I did leave some. Not all. Which probably says something about how deep the conditioning still goes. The guilt came. The relief came too. I trusted the relief more.
