My Diary
I wanted to stop being interpreted for a little while
Dear Delyara, Today I did not want to be read. Not badly. Not well. Not deeply. Not kindly. Just not interpreted. There are days when even gentle attention feels like one more thing landing on a system that already feels overexposed. I didn’t want anyone asking what I meant by my face, my tone, my slowness, my silence, or the slight difference in me. I didn’t want my emotional weather turned into a conversation. I wanted the right to move through the day privately from the inside. That feels like such a difficult form of peace to protect.
