My Diary
I wanted to stop hearing my own thoughts in full sentences
Dear Delyara, The inner voice was too articulate tonight. Too complete. Too ready with analysis, summaries, frameworks, explanations, corrections. I didn’t want one more polished paragraph from my own mind about what the day meant or what I should do or how I should feel about feeling how I felt. I wanted the inside to become less linguistic. More like weather. Less like commentary. There are nights when self-awareness feels like pressure instead of wisdom. This was one of them.
