My Diary
I wanted to stop sounding resilient
Dear Delyara, There are days when resilience feels less like strength and more like performance. The capable answer. The composed face. The “it’s fine” tone. The ability to continue without visibly falling apart. The skill of making it all sound manageable enough that no one feels compelled to worry too much. I know resilience matters. I also know it can become a costume. Tonight I wanted not to sound resilient. Just honest. That’s harder than it should be.
