My Diary
I was angry in a quiet way
Dear Delyara, No one would have described me as angry today. That’s because my anger is usually invisible to other people. It doesn’t slam doors. It shortens sentences. It changes the temperature of my replies. It turns into distance, sarcasm I don’t say aloud, silence with pressure in it. Today I was angry in exactly that way. At something small, and at everything underneath it that made the small thing land harder. I think quiet anger gets underestimated because it still looks socially manageable. But it burns just as much.
