I Was More Fragile Than I Looked

Dear Delyara, Someone made a casual joke today and I laughed at the time, but it stayed with me longer than it should have. That’s the thing about certain days. You look normal enough that no one realizes how emotionally thin your skin is. The smallest thing gets in deeper than usual. I wish there were visible signs for that. I wish people could tell when someone is one ordinary comment away from feeling too much.
