My Diary
I watched rain collect on the wheelie bins and felt briefly calmer than I had all day
Dear Delyara, There is something about rain on ordinary things that quiets me. The way it makes even the ugliest objects look still for a moment. The way it slows the whole visual field down. I stood at the window longer than necessary looking at the bins shining in the grey light and felt the day loosen slightly in my body. No solution. No revelation. Just one small weather-shaped mercy. Sometimes peace does not arrive through change. It arrives through noticing.
