Dear Delyara, I did not magically become brave. I just went anyway. My whole body still doesn’t like those appointments. I still hate the smell, the waiting, the feeling of being pinned in a chair while someone asks me questions I can’t answer properly because there are tools in my mouth. None of that changed. What changed was that I stopped delaying the appointment just because my fear was real. I booked it. I showed up. I got through it. That counts. Especially because fear still came with me and did not get to decide the outcome.
