I went to bed before I finished everything

Dear Delyara, There was still one mug on the side, one school letter I could have checked, and washing that could have been folded. Old me would have stayed up, finished it all, and called that responsibility. This time I looked at the kitchen, looked at the clock, and admitted the truth: I was too tired. So I went upstairs. The world did not fall apart. The house survived. And I woke up less angry at life than I usually do after pushing myself too far into the evening. I’m learning that not every unfinished thing is a moral failure. Sometimes going to bed is the healthiest decision in the whole house.
