I went to bed instead of scrolling
Dear Delyara, When I feel low or worn out or slightly wrong in myself, the phone is often the easiest place to go and the worst place to stay. I tell myself I’m relaxing, but really I’m just making sleep harder and self-talk uglier while postponing the end of the day. This week, I noticed the drift starting and stopped. I put the phone down. I got into bed. I let the day end honestly. That may sound small. It wasn’t. The quiet choices that protect mental health are often invisible, and because they’re invisible, people underestimate the strength they take.
