I went to bed instead of scrolling myself further down
Dear Delyara, When I feel low, tired, and slightly off, the phone can become a trap. I tell myself I’m resting, but usually I’m just extending the discomfort in a bright rectangular form while making my sleep worse and my self-talk uglier. This week, I felt that pattern starting and stopped. I put the phone down and went to bed. That doesn’t sound glamorous. It still took discipline and self-respect and honesty about what was actually helping. Sleep was kinder than the screen. I knew that. This time I acted like I believed it.
