The PlotCareer
I worry I have become too good at surviving unsuitable environments
Dear Delyara, Competence can hide a lot. I know how to function in difficult environments. I know how to keep things moving, stay useful, absorb pressure, appear composed, continue. That used to feel like a strength. Lately I’m starting to wonder whether it has also become a trap. If you are very good at surviving what doesn’t fit you, you can spend years mistaking survival for belonging. That thought has become difficult to ignore. And harder to answer.
