I Wrote Down the Harassment Properly, Reported It, and Stopped Leaving the Whole Weight of It Only in My Body

Dear Delyara, For too long, the harassment lived inside me as stress, dread, replay, sleep disruption, and that awful private self-questioning people learn when someone has behaved badly toward them in ways that are hard to make sound “bad enough” out loud. I kept trying to carry it through professionalism, as if calmness would somehow preserve dignity better than truth. It didn’t. So I documented it. Dates, phrases, patterns, context, how it affected my work, how it affected my body, how it changed the way I entered rooms. Then I reported it. My hands were shaking. I did it anyway. The victory was not just that the system had to look at it. The deeper victory was that I stopped forcing my body to be the only container for something that should have become visible much sooner. That felt like reclaiming territory inside myself.
