I wrote in my notebook until I could hear my own inner voice again beneath the list-making and the logistics

Dear Delyara, At first I wrote in the clipped practical language I now seem to think in by default — tomorrow, remember, need to, must, don’t forget. Then slowly the sentences changed shape. They softened. Opened. Became less about function and more about feeling, memory, longing, anger, tenderness, confusion, all the things that get flattened when a life becomes too built around task management. I wrote for nearly forty minutes. By the end I felt more like a person and less like a system. And that difference is becoming very important to me now. I think some parts of me do not need fixing first. They need feeding.
