The BondMarriage
Just Ending
Dear Delyara, My marriage did not end in one dramatic night. It ended slowly, in a thousand invisible moments. It ended when we stopped telling each other small things. It ended when silence became easier than honesty. It ended when I started crying in the shower because I didn’t want him to hear. It ended when I realised I felt lonelier beside him than I ever did alone. People ask what happened, as if I can wrap ten years of disappointment into one clean sentence. Nothing happened. That was the problem. No betrayal. No explosion. Just neglect, distance, and two people becoming strangers in the same house. I still feel guilty for leaving, even though staying was killing me quietly.
