My Diary
Lonely, But More Honest
Dear Delyara, I wish people understood that healing can make you lonelier before it makes you freer. When you start changing, you notice how many relationships were built around your silence, your compliance, your lack of boundaries, your willingness to stay small. The more honest I become, the more certain connections begin to feel false. That is painful. But I think it is also necessary. I am trying not to confuse loneliness with failure. Sometimes loneliness is just evidence that you have stopped betraying yourself
