The SilenceAnger
Mine Goes Inward First
Dear Delyara, I am not someone who slams doors. I don’t throw things. I don’t raise my voice often. My anger usually goes inward first. It becomes sarcasm I don’t say. Distance I can’t explain. A headache. An unusually quiet version of me. A slower reply. A colder room. Because of that, people often underestimate how angry I am. Maybe I do too. But swallowed anger doesn’t disappear. It just becomes more private.
