Money decides the tone of too many of my days

Dear Delyara, I hate how quickly money can change my mood. I can wake up decent enough, have tea, answer a few messages, maybe even feel a little hopeful. Then I check a bill or remember something due or realize how little room I have for error this month, and suddenly the whole day changes color. It’s not greed. It’s not materialism. It’s safety. Money is never just money when you have known what it feels like to be one unexpected expense away from panic.
