My anger comes out as distance, not volume

Dear Delyara, People rarely see me angry in obvious ways. I don’t usually raise my voice. I don’t slam things. I don’t make scenes. I get colder. Quieter. More exact. Harder to reach. The room changes, but softly enough that it can be missed if you don’t know me well. That’s what makes it complicated. I look controlled. Often I am just angry in a form that doesn’t cost me as much publicly. I wish I had learned a relationship with anger that was less hidden than this.
