The SilenceAnger
My anger is cleaner on paper than in real life
Dear Delyara, On paper, I understand my anger very well. I can explain it. Trace it. justify it. contextualize it. I can see exactly why certain things hurt and why certain patterns continue to trigger me. In real life, though, my anger doesn’t come out as cleanly as my writing does. It comes out sideways. As withdrawal. As coldness. As silence that is more loaded than it appears. As a version of me who looks composed while internally setting fire to everything. I wish I had learned a better relationship with anger earlier. I think many of us are walking around with badly stored fire.
