My body reacts to money faster than my mind does

Dear Delyara, One wrong number can change the whole atmosphere inside me in seconds. I’ll see a bill, an account balance, a reminder, and before I’ve even finished thinking clearly, my body has already reacted — tighter chest, smaller future, reduced appetite for anything that looks like comfort or risk or possibility. Money becomes emotional very quickly when safety has been tangled up with it for too long. That is what I’m tired of. Not only the numbers. The speed with which they become feelings.
