My Body Remembers Before I Do

Dear Delyara, Trauma is strange because sometimes my body remembers before my mind does. A room, a scent, a sound — and suddenly I am no longer fully in the present. I wish people understood that trauma is not always a memory. Sometimes it is a reaction without words.
