My Body Still Goes Quiet Too Fast
Dear Delyara, I know this pattern now. A room changes. A tone hardens. A face closes. Someone male gets angry, or cold, or too controlled. And my body does the old thing. It quiets. It becomes strategic. It starts trying not to trigger, not to worsen, not to become the next problem. The strange part is how normal it can look. Politeness. Calmness. Patience. Maturity. But I know better. I know what is really happening. Old fear getting access before my mind has had time to judge whether the current room deserves that level of obedience. That speed makes me feel betrayed by my own body. And also deeply sorry for it.
