The SilenceTrauma
My body still leaves rooms before my mind does
Dear Delyara, That’s the best way I know to describe it. I may still be there. Still speaking. Still looking normal enough. But inside, part of me has already left. The body gets smaller, more alert, more careful, less available to spontaneity. The moment still appears ordinary to everyone else, and I am already halfway in survival. That invisible exit is one of the loneliest things trauma still does to me.
