The SilenceTrauma

My body still reacts to rooms my mind calls ordinary

Dear Delyara, That is one of the loneliest parts of trauma for me. The room can be ordinary. The conversation can be ordinary. The people can even be decent. And still, something in the atmosphere can make my body tense in a way no one else seems to notice or understand. I feel it before I can explain it. Sometimes before I can even trust it. That gap — between visible reality and internal reaction — makes me feel alone in very quiet ways.
