My Diary
My Child Shut the Bedroom Door and I Felt It in My Chest
Dear Delyara, It was only a door. A normal door. A child wanting privacy. A child growing up. Still, the sound of it hurt. There was no drama, no argument, no rude tone. Just that clear quiet message: this part is mine now. And of course it should be. That is healthy. That is how children become themselves. But mothers feel those little separations in places no one can see. I stood in the hallway pretending to look for something while really just absorbing the fact that love changes shape whether you are ready or not.
