My Child Told Me First

Dear Delyara, Usually I have to sense it, wait, circle, soften, and hope the truth eventually chooses me. This time my child told me first. A school hurt. A friend issue. A small humiliation that had sat inside the body all day. And instead of making me guess, instead of hiding it behind “nothing,” it was brought to me directly. That moved me much more than the content itself. Because trust from a child is not ordinary to me. It feels sacred every single time. Not because they are young. Because emotional trust is a choice, even in family. And being chosen like that softens something in a mother too. It did in me.
