My daughter asked if I wanted the quieter seat in the car

Dear Delyara, We were all getting in after a long day, and before I even said anything she asked if I wanted the front because “it’s quieter there.” She has started noticing sound the way I do. Not in a worrying way. Just in that tender, observant child way that shows she has actually been watching me live. I took the front seat. It did help. And what helped even more was the feeling of being considered before I had to ask. These little moments matter so much because they remind me that care does circulate back, even in houses where I often feel like the main giver of it.
