My daughter noticed I was tired and made me tea the way I make it
Dear Delyara, Too much milk, no sugar, teabag squeezed exactly once. She carried it into the living room with both hands and said, “I made it properly.” Then she sat beside me while I drank it and told me a very long story about something that happened in art class, and for once her talking didn’t feel like another demand. It felt like company. I think love from children can be so pure because it doesn’t yet know how to hide itself in style. That cup of tea healed something in me yesterday.
