My friend gave me room without making the room empty

Dear Delyara, That balance is so rare. I didn’t need pressure, questions, or excessive attention. But I didn’t want absence either. What I got from a friend this week was that beautiful middle — enough room to breathe, enough presence not to feel dropped, enough sensitivity not to make me explain myself before I was ready. It felt incredibly safe. I think the most intelligent friendships are built in that middle. Not too much. Not too little. Just accurate enough. I’m grateful for that kind of care.
