My friend let me stay quiet

Dear Delyara, I saw a friend this week and she let me be quieter than usual without making it a problem. No over-questioning. No pressure to perform brightness. No passive hurt because I wasn’t entertaining enough. Just room. That kind of friendship feels rare enough to write down. To be allowed to arrive as you are, without emotional penalty, is one of the deepest forms of kindness I know.
