My friend let my mood be there without making it the main event

Dear Delyara, That felt so respectful. I wasn’t in a particularly bright mood, and instead of over-focusing on it, or pretending not to notice it at all, my friend just adjusted gently. Softer tone. Less pressure. No emotional interrogation. No need for me to become entertaining again to make the interaction feel successful. I think that kind of care is rare because it requires emotional confidence. And emotional confidence feels safe. I was deeply grateful for it.
