My friend stayed married to the man who assaulted me

Dear Delyara, My best friend’s husband assaulted me after a party four years ago. I told her two days later. She believed that something happened but said he was drunk, confused, and had “misread the situation.” She stayed with him. We stopped speaking. Last week, she contacted me because she is pregnant and says becoming a mother has made her think differently about what happened. She wants to apologize. She says she now understands she abandoned me. I listened to the voice message six times and have not replied. Part of me has wanted this apology for years.
