My friend stayed with the awkward truth

Dear Delyara, I said something honest this week and waited for it to make the room awkward. It didn’t. My friend just stayed with it. Didn’t rush me. Didn’t overreact. Didn’t fix it. Didn’t punish the honesty with discomfort. That meant more to me than I can explain properly. I think real friendship is often less about fun and more about who lets you keep your truth without making you regret revealing it. I felt very lucky afterward.
