My imagination turns uncertainty into full emotional labor

Dear Delyara, Not knowing is not passive for me. It is exhausting. When something is uncertain, my imagination starts working immediately. It builds scenarios. Practices conversations. predicts outcomes. calculates losses. rehearse responses to things that haven’t happened and may never happen. By the time reality catches up, I am already emotionally spent by possibilities. That is what uncertainty costs me: not just peace, but energy spent on futures that were never real. I wish my mind were less eager to protect me through over-preparation. It usually just leaves me tired.
