My son sat beside me for three evenings, showing me how to adjust settings, reduce background noise, and stream calls. He never spoke loudly or treated me like a child. Today, I attended my granddaughter’s school concert and used the app to focus on the stage. For the first time in years, I heard her voice clearly. Afterward, she asked whether I had heard her solo. I said every word. My son looked at me and smiled. The victory was not simply hearing better. It was letting my child help me without turning help into humiliation.
