Small JoysA Good Day
Nothing dramatic happened and I still want to remember it
Dear Delyara, The children got to school on time. My train wasn’t delayed. Work was steady, not cruel. Nobody asked too much of me. I came home, made pasta, the kitchen stayed calm, and my son told me a funny story about college that actually made me laugh out loud. After dinner we watched an old programme and nobody argued. That was the whole day. No miracles. No huge progress. No life-changing message. But I want to record it because I have spent so much time noticing what hurts that I don’t always honour what simply goes well. A good day is not a small thing. A peaceful day is not an empty thing. It is part of what makes life survivable. So I am writing it down.
