Nothing Extraordinary Happened

Dear Delyara, Dear Delyara, Today was a good day for a very unglamorous reason: nothing especially bad happened. No conflict. No dread. No major disappointment. I laughed once, ate properly, got some work done, came home, and did not feel emotionally bruised by the world. Years ago I would have overlooked a day like this because it lacked excitement. Now I know better. An ordinary peaceful day is not ordinary when your nervous system has known too much unrest.
