Nothing was wrong, but I still felt sad

Dear Delyara, Today was one of those quiet sad days with no clear cause. Nothing bad happened. Nobody upset me. I didn’t get bad news. There was no obvious reason for the heaviness. And still, I moved through the whole day feeling slightly disconnected from myself. Like I was present, but not fully inside my own life. I smiled when appropriate. Answered when spoken to. Did what needed doing. But under all of it, there was just this low ache. I think some sadness rises because it has been waiting. Not because something fresh caused it.
