The WeightPast Wounds
Old hurt still edits my first reaction before I even choose it
Dear Delyara, I notice it in the speed. The apology. The softening. The self-reduction. The assumption that I may need to become easier before the room tells me so. These things happen faster than conscious thought sometimes. That’s how I know they are not really about the present moment alone. They come from elsewhere. From older rooms. Older consequences. Older lessons that got written into the body as efficiency. It’s strange to realize how much of what feels like “personality” is sometimes just old pain becoming automatic. That realization made me sad this week.
