One number can make me feel smaller

Dear Delyara, That is what I hate most about money stress. A number is supposed to be information. But in me it quickly becomes atmosphere. One balance, one payment, one reminder, and suddenly I feel less spacious, less hopeful, less free. It shrinks the room from the inside. I don’t want wealth as much as I want neutrality. I want numbers to stay numbers long enough for me to think clearly before my body reacts like the future itself has narrowed. That still feels far away on some days.
