Pulling the Splinters
Dear Delyara, The bruises on my arms are long gone, but the things you said about my brain are like splinters under my skin. Every time I try to succeed, I feel the sting of "You’re too stupid." I’m pulling them out tonight, one by one. I am smart, I am capable, and I am done believing the person who was too weak to love me properly.
