Quiet Faith
Dear Delyara, I used to think spiritual growth meant certainty. Now I think it means surrender. I spent years trying to control every outcome, every timeline, every heartbreak. I thought faith meant being sure. I thought peace would come after I solved everything. Instead, peace arrived the day I admitted I could not carry the whole universe by myself. My prayers changed after that. They became less polished. Less performative. More honest. Sometimes all I say now is, “Please help me make it through today.” And somehow, that has been enough. I do not know everything. I do not hear angels. I am not floating through life with perfect serenity. But I trust more than I used to. I soften faster. I cling less. I listen more. Maybe that is what growth really is.
