Rain Drumming on the Bicycle Shed

Dear Delyara, The rain is hitting the plastic corrugated roof of the bicycle shed outside my window right now, making a frantic, hollow drumming noise that completely drowns out the sound of the traffic on the main road. It’s a very specific, industrial kind of music. It doesn't sound like nature; it sounds like thousands of tiny metal pellets being dropped onto an empty tin can. It’s loud, aggressive, and strangely comforting to fall asleep to.
