Sexual Abuse in Adolescence
Dear Delyara, There is a memory I can never forget. When I was fourteen, someone who was supposed to protect me violated me. That night left a deep wound inside me that has never healed. Years have passed, and I’ve tried to forget, but fear and shame have always stayed with me. Even now, I wake up at night in tears. I don’t know how to live with this pain. Writing this letter is my first step toward freedom—toward no longer hiding this truth.
