She Made It Easier, Not Bigger

Dear Delyara, Some people help but still make the moment emotionally larger. More social work, more gratitude required, more need to reassure them that their kindness landed beautifully enough. This wasn’t that. She made it easier. A practical thing. A lighter thing. A smaller burden. No performance attached. I left feeling grateful in my body, not just polite in my mouth. That is a rare and beautiful thing.
